Extended hours: Beginning Thursday, September 16th, the shop will be open until 8:00 p.m. to allow more time for shopping and get support on your projects.
Save the Date: We will be holding our first ever Knitreat, a knitting retreat, on Sunday, October 24th, 1:00 - 4:00 pm. Stay tuned for details--lots of fun and treats await you, including yarn tasting and a special knitter's massage! Attendance is limited to 15-20.

Kandy has been spinning for over 20 years and have studied all over the world to master the craft that she loves. She teaches spinning classes at Yarns Unlimited.

Don't miss our continuing exhibit of exquisite knitted handbags and purses made with beads. This collection of over 20 one-of-a-kind pieces, created by Robbie Stanton and Judy Vitaliano, were all hand-knitted incorporating glass beads and finished with new and vintage frames.

Yarns Unlimited is participating in the Super
Scarves Project, a drive to hand-knit scarves by volunteer knitters for the volunteers of Super Bowl XLVI which is being hosted by the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium in February 2012. These scarves will be part of the official uniform of over 8,000 volunteers for this momentous event. We have in stock the approved yarns & colors as well as free scarves patterns.

Our mission, which remains the same since we opened our doors in 1979, is to support fiber arts in Bloomington and the surrounding areas. Yarns Unlimited and By Hand Gallery are both celebrating 30 years in business providing the finest in fiber art supplies and crafts and the perfect sources for gifts in Bloomington.
